Prof. Yu Peng is an accomplished materials scientist and Associate Research Fellow at the School of Materials Science and Engineering, East China University of Science and Technology, recognized for his pioneering contributions to ferroelectric and perovskite-based functional materials, with a strong focus on photocatalytic hydrogen generation, polarized photodetection, and low-dimensional photoelectric systems; he received his doctoral training in physical chemistry through a joint doctoral program between ShanghaiTech University and the Chinese Academy of Sciences, building on a strong undergraduate foundation in pharmaceutical sciences, and subsequently advanced his academic career through competitive postdoctoral and independent research appointments that enabled him to lead interdisciplinary projects in hybrid perovskites, polar semiconductors, and two-dimensional optoelectronic materials.
