Prof. Dr. Pietro Giovanni Giordano | Future of Hypotheses | Best Researcher Award | Researcher | Hospital Ruber Juan Bravo | Spain
Prof. Dr. Pietro Giovanni Giordano earned his medical degree from the University of Cagliari and completed his MIR training in General and Digestive System Surgery at Hospital Universitario Ramón y Cajal, followed by advanced specialization in hepatic transplantation and minimally invasive bariatric and metabolic surgery. He has held professional appointments in high-volume surgical centers—first as a resident performing hundreds of operations as primary and assistant surgeon, then in robotic surgery teams and endocrine surgery, contributing to both service delivery and surgical innovation. His research interests lie in hepatobiliary oncology, carcinomatosis with HIPEC, metabolic surgery outcomes, surgical robotics, and translational cancer genetics. He has developed strong research skills in clinical trial design, minimally invasive surgical techniques, donor-recipient transplant physiology, intraoperative hyperthermic chemotherapy, and robotic procedural methodology. Among his awards and honors are recognition for surgical excellence, leadership of multidisciplinary tumor boards, and invitations to present at national and international surgical symposia; he has been awarded scholarships for postgraduate specialization and expert titles in hepatobiliopancreatic surgery and transplantation. Prof. Dr. Pietro Giovanni Giordano continues to advance both patient-care and scientific knowledge through peer-reviewed publications, international collaboration, and leadership in surgical education.
