Dr. SS Sivaraju is an eminent academician, researcher, and IEEE Senior Member with a distinguished career spanning over three decades in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, encompassing both teaching and industry expertise. He is currently serving as the Director – IQAC and Professor & Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at RVS College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore, India, where he plays a pivotal role in institutional quality assurance, academic policy development, and research advancement. Dr. SS Sivaraju obtained his Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, followed by a Master’s degree in Power Electronics and Drives, and later earned his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) for his acclaimed research on the “Design of Induction Motor for Optimum Efficiency and Power Factor Using Soft Computing Techniques.” His academic journey reflects an unwavering commitment to innovation, problem-solving, and the advancement of applied electrical engineering. Professionally, Dr. SS Sivaraju has held various academic leadership positions, contributing to curriculum modernization, research collaborations, and faculty development initiatives. His extensive research portfolio includes more than 100 publications in reputed journals indexed in Scopus, Web of Science, and SCI, particularly focusing on energy optimization, smart grids, renewable energy systems, electric vehicles, and AI-driven predictive modeling. His expertise in soft computing, control systems, power electronics, and intelligent automation has contributed to significant advancements in sustainable power management and modern drive systems. Dr. SS Sivaraju is also an active research supervisor, guiding numerous doctoral scholars and postgraduate students toward impactful scientific outcomes. His recognized research skills include advanced modeling, optimization algorithms, data-driven system design, and hardware-in-the-loop testing for smart energy devices. Throughout his career, Dr. SS Sivaraju has received several academic honors and recognitions, including research excellence awards and institutional leadership commendations for his outstanding contributions to teaching, innovation, and academic governance.
