Prof. Dr. Xiujuan Feng (born July 1973) is a pioneering expert in environmental remediation and mining engineering, currently serving as Deputy Director at the National Key Laboratory of Deep Coal Safe Mining and Environmental Protection, Huaihe Energy Group/Anhui University of Science and Technology. An academician of the Russian Academy of Engineering and a second-level professor/doctoral supervisor, she has extensive experience in leading national research programs, including the National Key R&D Program. Her interdisciplinary expertise spans mechanochemistry, persistent organic pollutant (POP) remediation, and advanced environmental monitoring. Prof. Feng holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Industrial Electrical Automation and Computer Applications from Southern Institute of Metallurgy (1997). She earned a Master’s in Environmental Engineering from Kunming University of Science and Technology (2005), followed by a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering (Municipal Direction) from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (2011). Post-Ph.D., she conducted postdoctoral research at the Institute of Nuclear and New Energy Technology, Tsinghua University, focusing on chemical and environmental engineering (2011–2013). Furthering her global academic exposure, she was a senior visiting scholar at Nankai University’s School of Environmental Science and Engineering from 2017 to 2018. She was also Principal Researcher at the National Engineering Laboratory for Bio-Metallurgy and Executive Deputy Director at the National Engineering Research Center for Industrial Contaminated Site and Groundwater Remediation under CECEP. She led departments at China University of Mining and Technology and contributed to national-level innovation platforms like the Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association’s Innovation Center.
