Hsi-Chao Chen began his academic journey by earning a BS and MS degree in mechanical engineering from National Cheng-Chung University and National Taiwan University, respectively. He furthered his education with a Ph.D. degree in the Institute of Optical Sciences at National Central University, Taiwan, in 2005.
