With a strong academic foundation, Dr. Jameel Shehu Yalli earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Al-Qalam University in Nigeria, followed by a Master’s Degree in Computer & Information Engineering from the International Islamic University Malaysia, and a PhD in Information Technology from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Malaysia, where his dissertation focused on designing lightweight and secure multi-level authentication protocols for IoT devices using advanced techniques such as Physical Unclonable Functions and Fuzzy Logic. His professional experience includes over a decade of active contributions across academia, government, and NGO sectors, serving as Lecturer II at Federal University Gusau, Lecturer III at Sa’adatu Rimi College of Education, Teaching Assistant at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Production Officer at Neem Foundation, Field Officer at the Ministry of Land and Physical Planning, and Legislative Assistant at the Jigawa State House of Assembly. His research activities involve designing secure authentication frameworks, conducting systematic reviews, developing communication security models, writing manuscripts, preparing grant proposals, and contributing to multidisciplinary projects within the Centre for Research in Data Science (CeRDaS). Dr. Jameel Shehu Yalli’s research interests cover IoT security, cybercrime prevention, distributed computing, network security, big data analytics, embedded system security, and quantum computing, supported by strong analytical, programming, data modeling, simulation, and scientific writing skills.
