Previously, from 2013 to 2015, they served as the Deputy Director of ASMERC, and from 2012 to 2013, as a faculty member. They directed the National Drought Warning and Monitoring Center (NDWMC) from 2011 to 2012 and served as Deputy Director from 2010 to 2011. Between 2005 and 2010, they were the Deputy Director of the National Weather Forecasting Center.
