She continued her studies in biological sciences, completing her M.S. in 1989 with a focus on the protective effects of Ginsenosides on warm renal ischemia. Later, she pursued her Ph.D. in Biomedicine at the University of Lausanne, Switzerland, where she explored the potential applications of tissue engineering technology in co-culturing bladder urothelial and smooth muscle cells.
