Dr. Shruti Sengupta, Ph.D., specializes in Applied Microeconomics, Development Economics, Labor Economics, and Economics of Gender. She earned her doctoral degree from Oklahoma State University in 2020. Currently an Assistant Professor at IIT Roorkee, she teaches courses like Introductory Microeconomics and Development Economics. Her research, including publications on local employment multipliers and fracking impacts, focuses on socio-economic dynamics in India, with ongoing studies on trade liberalization effects on marriage and fertility.
