She then pursued a Master's degree in Psychology at South China Normal University in 2009, where her thesis focused on the effect of stimuli presentation modality on the N400 component in Chinese sentence reading. Subsequently, she earned her Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2013, with her dissertation exploring syntax in reading comprehension and writing composition in Chinese children.
